UPSC : A Civil Services Exam
UPSC की Full Form होती है (Union Public Service Commission) ये Government of India की recruitment agency है जो हर साल State और Center Level की Grade A और Grade B की Post निकलती है, इसका Headquarter New Delhi में है.

Exam Pattern
हर साल UPSC सिविल
सेवा परीक्षा का आयोजन तीन चरणों में
करता है.
सर्वप्रथम प्रारम्भिक परीक्षा(Preliminary Exam) फिर मुख्य परीक्षा(Mains Exam) तथा अंतिम चरण में
अभ्यार्थी का साक्षात्कार / व्यक्तित्व
परीक्षण(Interview /personality test
) होता है। साक्षात्कार(Interview) में चयनित(Select)
अभ्यार्थी अपने अर्जित किये गये अंकों व
वरीयता(performance) के आधार पर IAS, IPS,
IFC तथा अन्य केन्द्रीय सेवाओं (Group A व Group B) के लिए चयनित किये जाते हैं।
देश
की इस सबसे मुश्किल परीक्षा और इसमें अचूक
सफलता के लिए अनुशासन, कठिन परिश्रम,
अध्य्यन प्रबंधन और धैर्य ही मूलभूत अधार हैं।
First Stage: Preliminary Exam
Preliminary Exam सिविल सेवा परीक्षा का पहला व एक महत्वपूर्ण चरण है। इस परीक्षा में प्रत्येक वर्ष लगभग चार लाख से अधिक अभ्यार्थी भाग लेते हैं, किन्तु कुल 10 हजार अभ्यार्थी ही मुख्य परीक्षा के लिए Qualify कर पाते हैं।
Second Stage: Main Exam
Main Exam: सिविल सेवा परीक्षा का
यह Second Stage अत्यधिक महत्वपूर्ण होता है,
और यहीं पर प्रतिभागियों(participants) के ज्ञान की
वास्तविक परीक्षा होती है ।
इस परीक्षा में कुल 9 Paers हुआ करते हैं और तकरीबन 180 से 200 Questions होते हैं जिनका कुल योग 1750 अंकों का होता है। प्रत्येक पेपर के लिये 3 घंटों का समय निर्धारित होता है.
अगर आप Main Exam में सफल(Pass) हुये अभ्यर्थियों
को हीUPSC सिविल सेवा
परीक्षा के Third और Last Stage जो की एक
Interview Exam है, के लिये बुलाया
जाता है।
Final stage: civil service interview
interview में आपके ज्ञान से अधिक, उसकी प्रस्तुति, अवलोकन, आपका आत्मविश्वास एवं महत्वपूर्ण मामलो पर आपके विचार प्रक्रिया व प्रतिक्रिया इत्यादि की परख की जाती है। एक अदर्श साक्षात्कार के लिये लगभक तीस से पैंतीस मिनट तक का समय अच्छा माना जाता है । इसमें प्राय: अभ्यर्थियों के विस्तृत आवेदन प्रपत्र, चयनित एच्छिक विषय, अभिरूचियों व राष्ट्रीय एवं अंतराष्ट्रीय घटनाओं से संबंधित प्रश्न पूंछे जाते हैं।
